Am I going crazy or are prices on groceries finally going down? I think the chickens called off the strike too
I noticed yesterday at ALDIs eggs were 3.19 a dozen and at Wal-mart they were 2.47. I noticed some other stuff I usually buy seemed to have went down as well.
I keep forgetting about Aldi's? We don't have one nearby unfortunately. What I am noticing is how the prices at Whole foods and The Fresh Market are comparable to Publix. There used to be a significant price difference between these stores. Walmart is still my go to for dry goods, but unfortunately the closest one needs an overhaul. The meat is often green or grey, they also have junk shelves... it's a mess! I feel like it's a scavenger hunt whenever I go.
Down here folks have caught on to the duck egg craze and those prices are starting to go up while also having low availability. The jig is up I guess?
The other night my family wanted breakfast for dinner. I go to Publix and a dozen eggs were $5.49. I'm thinking maybe I should just get a half dozen because really it was just my nieces who want breakfast sandwiches. After going back and forth the full dozen was the better deal.
Do y'all know that just before I stepped inside I dropped the eggs? Guess how many cracked? SIX!!! SIX WHOLE ASS EGGS CRACKED!!! Whatever, because I still used them. They didn't fall on the ground but I'm sure there's a lesson in there somewhere?
